No packet, no fillers, no anti-caking powder. One batch seasons a pound of beef — quadruple it and you've got a jar that outlives the store-bought stuff by a mile.
Combine everything thoroughly. This makes about 2 Tbsp — one batch for one pound of meat.
Brown 1 lb of ground beef and drain it, then add the full 2 Tbsp along with 1–2 Tbsp of water or beer. Simmer until it thickens up and coats the meat.
Quadruple the batch and store it in an airtight container. From then on it's 2 Tbsp per pound of meat and you never buy a packet again.
